Mark Call undertakes strategy and business development assignments for corporate, PE/VC, HNW or family clients, drawing on his extensive experience with McKinsey and others over 30 years, in over 40 countries. This work sometimes leads to longer term trusted adviser or NED roles. Given his extensive personal and business network, he is effective in bringing people together for the development of business.

Over 30 years of his career have spanned business, public policy, and entrepreneurship. While working at HM Treasury, he played a role in the UK’s privatisation program that eventually became a worldwide phenomenon. With his deep knowledge of privatisation strategies, he founded Portland Group in 1994 to provide advice to governments and investors in over 40 countries on the privatisation and commercialisation of government entities. Following Portland Group’s acquisition by Macquarie Bank in 2000, he continued as their Divisional Director and helped grow the organisation into the largest private owner of airports worldwide. From 2003 to 2006 he was a NED on Macquarie Airport Holdings and contributed to overall portfolio management.

Since 2003, he has held a variety of Non-Executive Director and Chairman roles. He brings his business acumen and financial discipline, as well as his international perspective to guide businesses on a pathway to success.
